Photo astronomy: Practice with Gimp photo stacking capability Night 3.


My Fujifilm HS25EXR camera feels like a ton compared with my SAMSUNG WB150F compact camera, we resumed our photoastronomy experiments with the SAMSUNG camera.
We took three photos of the night sky, using a tripod and the same settings and same sky coverage. They were all taken approximately 10 seconds each,, ISO 1600. f/4.0. With these three photos stored in a SINGLE directory, we opened them under GIMP (open as layers). Select them all! and stacked them as one composite image. Here is the final result:
