Weaver ants Queen ant

The queen ant of the pala-pala weaver ant species is very very much larger than the rest of the ants in a colony. It may be the only ant with a wing. Here is a photo of a specimen, photographed by my Facebook friend Ella Bernales Jacildo from Pulupandan.

Dificult to catch Jupiter and its four large moons

It was difficult to avoid shake in the camera even when I propped the camera against a building post at Philcoa.""Light streaks actually helped in verifying existence of the
four moons of Jupiter, large enough to be discovered by Galileo in january 1610: : Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Jupiter is easily found in the southern skies early morning. Do not fail to catch it if you have a superzoom.

According to the link below, a good setting is 1/125s at 80 ISO.
