Goldfish, Silver Dollar and Hammerhead Aquarium fishes

Wathching these silent fishes swimming, eating inside the confines of an aquarium gives me the important thought that yes, man rules over other creatures on Earth.

Silver Dollar fish gets a new big tank.

It is four feet long, 1 1/2 foot wide and 2 feet high. The water is so clean now that I was glad to catch its big mouth out front. The silver dollar fish is a gentle relative of the pacu and piranha.

Silver dollar fish can grow so large!

Here is the latest photo of my brother's pet silver dollar fish. It has grown so large, necessitating buying a bigger aquarium. We are still waiting for the bigger tank to arrive.

Silver Dollar fish

Here is a gentle fish, quite different from its relatives, the pacus and piranhas! They can live to ten years. Formerly this specimen has a companion, probably male, and it did not like and killed it by repeatedly ramming it.
