Rare? Homalocasia miamiensis

I am still looking for the scientific name of this plain looking foliage plant.I found them growing beside the more colorful angel wings caladium bicolor, and I thought it is very common. Yet our reference says it is RARE!

According to Dr. Roms, it is a cross between homalomena rubescens and alocasia korthalsii. Also called a cultivar of H. lindenii. Some say this is a variety of philodendron.
