Today, I got curius again on what happened to the old American camera manufacturers. I searched for Argus, whose cameras are always seen in photography/camera magazines of the 60's to the 70's. Visit arguscamera.com.
I am amazed that the name is still very much alive. Here is a screen shot products displayed in the landing web page.
We sure miss the Polaroid, Bausch and Lomb, Univex (the half-frame 35 mm 72 shots/cartridge)and others. But progress may be hard on manufacturers unable to adjust to rapid changes and economic cycles. The Japanese Canon, Nikon are still going strong!
