I just scanned the page D1 from Manila Bulletin, Septemb3r 27, 2013.. The ad emphasizes the available 7 creative filters than can be displayed real-time like making the photo looks like an oil or water color painting or taken with a toy camera.
Canon might have hired a cheap advertising agency though. It says that
The new Canon EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 STM kit lens integrated STEPPING motor allows fast and quite autofocus. Perfect for movie or live view shooting.
It should be 'quiet' not 'quite'.
it is available with body only(34,998 pesos), with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens (40,998 pesos) and with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM kit lens lens(53,998 pesos).
There are cheaper modern compact cameras but the canon brand is well respected for its Image Quality.
