Flowers: ochna serrulata, mickey mouse flower, money tree

This plant can grow high as a house. I find the flowers interesting, they do look like Mickey mouse with their bright red, yellow and black(seeds). I spent a long time looking for the scientific name and I am happy to post this photo:

May have to post sharper photos in a future revisions or one can view the Facebook album.

This photo was taken by my HS25EXR on April, 25, 2013.

Plants: chlorophytum comosum, spider or ribbon plant

I may be wrong but I am labeling the plant in this photo as a spider or ribbon plant. I recall my mother and sisters have potted versions of this plant, long ago, which looks like a grass.

Here is a variety, "vittatum" where the white stripes are more prominent, from Susan Estrope Dicker:

Flowers: Bleeding Hearts vine, Glory bower vine, Clerodendrum thomsoniae

Our friend from Australia, posted a photo of the glory bower vine or bleeding heart vine, in an album. We republish it here, with her permission, so anyone would be able to recognize this stunning vine with bloody red flowers on white spathes.

Not to be confused with the non-vine version.

Insects: butterfly

I enjoy finding the common and scientific names of plants and flowers. I hesitate to do that with butterflies. Here is one clear photo, after many attempts catching it, at UP Clarkfield.

Here is another shot of the same(supposedly) butterfly.

I will appreciate it if a reader identifies the beautiful butterfly.

Sky photos: an overcast rainy sky.

The moonsoon rains make the sky look gloomy, but a light plane punctures the gloom. Yet the colors are washed out by the dark sky. Photo taken at U.P. Clarkfield,Pampanga, with an Olympus VG-110 digital compact camera.
