New album with the C3 phone camera

Click on the publicly accessilbe Facebook photo album https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2206115766734.116986.1662608581

Here is some of the photos:

The C3 surprises me with its photo taking capabilities. Images can still be sharp and pleasing to view, even though it comes with only a 2 Megapixels camera!

A tip for photographing sunrises and sunsets

Sensible advice from http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/sunset-sunrise-photography.html. I cannot hardly wait for April, when the sunsets in Bacolod can be spectacular!

Panoramic shots with Sony DSC W370 camera

My sis allowed me to try out the Sony camera she gave to my lawyer sis. Here are some shots taken with the camera panoramic mode. Seems to be the major advantage with this camera. It is almost twice the weight of my Olympus VG110 cam whose panoramic mode requires the use of external software to stitch together images in contrast to the complete built-in capability of the Sony camera.

Here is the front view of our school ( a converted warehouse)

Here is inside the well stocked library.

And finally our school's lobby.

Night shots at Lung Center of the Philippines

I have an album of photos hosted at my publicly available Facebook albums. Here is one photo among the 27 photos in the album. I took these photos on the way to the Lung Center of the Philippines to visit a dear sister. It include scenes also from Philcoa area.

Only the lights from lamps in the area was used (no flash!) to illuminate the scene. There is noise in the image but overall the VG-110 comes off well, even showing the green color of some of the trees.

Looking for LI 70B Olympus battery in the Philippines?

I experienced more than two times already the camera battery of the Olympus camera gave up on me. I can buy another camera for P5,000 pesos but the battery from

is "only" P650 pesos. I went to the Olympus theme store at SM City 4th floor (near the carpark) and the salesman said that the battery costs a whooping 1, 656.00 pesos #$%!!

It is available at SM department store as the following photo shows:

Perhaps when Olympus cameras will be getting more popular, accessories will become more available and cheaper.
